"The only permanent thing in this world is Change." - Anonymous
Changes in our lives make us either progressive or regressive. So do I. Just recently, I had to travel from my hometown to a distant city to attend my training.

The last time I have my formal training was a few years ago, during the time I was still working in the south of Manila. That's why I sense, it will take me a little bit of adjustment as I go back to class again. For me, learning is continuous process and we can also do it through the use of Internet (I-net), or what we called e-learning. Traditional books we use in the classroom can now be handy e-book using laptops, phones or other electronic gadgets. By the way, I-net tool is now powerful that you can just sit, click and study the things you want to explore (as long as you are connected to I-net). Thanks to Google, Wikipedia, Youtube and the like.

Going back to my senses, I preferred to do the traditional way of learning, that is to go to a class to learn(rather than e-learning). The Microsoft training is around 18 days with the core of learning the fundamentals of Computer, Internet and World Wide Web, Digital Media, Web-design, Word-Processing,Presentation, Database and Spreadsheet.

The training is more than just about learning, but it is also having camaraderie and being friendly with my trainor and new classmates (or training-mates). Since this is mixed class, you will see students of different norm, age, sex, preferences, educational, work and family background, combining in one single classroom. During sessions, some are noisy, some are quiet and some don't care his seatmate at all (Oh, that's me)..

Thanks to my mentor, my new classmates and new people around me.

The Microsoft Training is sponsored by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) located in 2nd Floor Kenny Plaza Bldg., City of San Fernando, La Union, exclusive for OWWA members and families.
